According to Sauermann (2020), the tyranny of the majority can be considered as one of the major problems or topics of democracy within political theory. Also, it ascends if the winning majorities were permanent and fixed, as well as there are no checks on the ability of the majority in order to dominate the minority. In addition, it is a decision made by the majority that puts its interests above the minority group, constituting active domination or tyranny similar to that of a despot or even tyrant.
